easter….

Easter this year is: Sunday March 23, 2008
As you may know, Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon
after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20).
This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used
to identify Passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.
Found out a couple of things you might be interested in!
Based on the above, Easter can actually be one day earlier (March 22) but
that is pretty rare.

This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our
lives! And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this
early (95 years old or above!). And none of us have ever, or will ever, see
it a day earlier! Here are the facts:
The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228
(220 years from now). The last time it was this early was 1913 (so if you’re
95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!).
The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22, will be in the year 2285
(277 years from now). The last time it was on March 22 was 1818. So, no one
alive today has or will ever see it any earlier than this year!

I am back but who cares…

Dumating kami dun mga 5:30 AM na, travelling time? you do the math. This time may camera na pero all the things i wanted to do or planned to do eh hindi ko lahat nagawa like going to this rock which is called “bato ni barang” and take pictuutol qre of it. Or go to this island called “Macatira Island”. Or go to the cave called “Sagrada”. We barely took pictures coz its my moms camera and I am somehow not allowed to use it without her consent. Anyways all we did there, with matching pangungulit ni Nicole ay lumangoy ng lumangoy sa dagat. But this time its quite different coz may snorkling na kaming ginawa. We bought 2 goggles sa SM tayuman (its my idea para maiba naman, I wanted her to see the beauty under the sea). The challenge here is to teach her snorkling while teaching her how to swim. Not an easy task, and though at the end eh hindi pa rin sya natutong lumangoy. Most important thing is nag enjoy naman sya. Our first day swimming/snorkling quite went well, we even met new lil friends, 2 actually. One is AJ (Alyssa Jean) who is 3/4 filipina and 1/4 american, the other one is Arlynne a native, they are bestfriends. number game

pingpong nicole, mark and friends

5 days kami dun and 5 days din kami nagbabad sa dagat.Kaya pag uwi namin dito eh medio nognog na kami. And nga pala fiesta sa amin ng sabado at linggo, so may perya at kung ano ano pa.

semana santa…

meaning? vacation for filipinos. a time to reflect and other more. As for me and my family vacation in Zambales… So see you soon.

Filipino, isa kang alipin!

WALANG MANG-AALIPIN KUNG WALANG PAAALIPIN!

Its not something that really did came out from my mouth, nor something that I thought would catch your attention. Its a book written by Reynaldo Cruz Garcia, a law graduate in Ateneo de Manila University, with honors. I haven’t asked his permission yet to write this, but I think it’s a great book and you (as a Filipino) should read this. Its mind opening and so moving that it inspired me to write this blog.

He wrote the whole book on my native tongue (tagalog pero may mangilan ngilan ding ingles) so bare with me… this is his first chapter. (exerpt lang po)

FILIPINO.

Well that’s it I think you should buy the book if your interested, Bob Ong quality but with edge.
